Every morning, Lauren wakes and starts the day off with taking her dog, Ginger out for a walk in the morning. After a walk around the block, Lauren begins her day with a cup of coffee, a ball of yarn, and a crochet hook. Lauren crochets in the morning until she’s ready to set foot in her shop Sow’s Ear Studio. Sow’s Ear Studio is Lauren’s second home and a home in which her mother, Rosemary started in February of 1998. Lauren works ithe shop from Tues-Sat and then works in her home in Niskayuna, New York on the weekends. Niskayuna, New York Native Got Her Fiber Arts Started At The Age Of Twelve, When Her Nanna Was Knitting A Sweater. Lauren Smiled And Asked, Can I Try. So Her Nanna, Said Yes. Lauren’s Nanna Showed Her The Basic Part Of Knitting WIth Adding Stitches On To A Knitting Needle. After Lauren Learned The Basic Part Of Knitting, Lauren Learned How To Do A Simple Knit Purl Stitch. Knitting Was A Passion For Lauren. After Knitting, Lauren Learned How To Work With Polymer Clay. Lauren Makes Polymer Clay Brooches For All Her Knitted And Crochet Items. Lauren Resides In Niskayuna, New York With Her Dog Ginger And Her Parents Who Love Art. With learning new things everyday, blogging is the favorite part of my business.
